Our Breaking Bread therapy group is a weekly, 90-minute group designed to help you challenge food fears in a safe environment with other people who get what you are going through. This group is open to adults (18+) and offers a supported meal led by a therapist, as well as therapeutic discussion. Breaking Bread is uniquely designed to give you extra support if you need more than just individual therapy alone, or to ease the transition if you’re stepping down from a higher level of care. In this group, you will work toward increasing flexibility and permission with food, so that you can freely break bread with those you love and live more fully. You'll also process the issues underlying your relationship with food and your body. This group covers topics like social and cultural norms and pressures, shame and self-compassion, mindfulness, diet culture, boundaries, relapse prevention, joyful movement, intuitive eating, and more. Group Details: Below is a list of all Breaking Bread therapy groups. At this time our Breaking Bread groups are only open to adults 18+. Click here for more information on fees for therapy services and the insurances we accept. Clients are encouraged to utilize the group until they feel solid enough in their recovery to increase their independence and reduce the amount of support they receive.
