Tracy Brown, RD

FL, AZ, CO, CA, IL, IN, VA, OH, WV, UT, TN, ID, MO, AL, TX, NY, PA,WI, NC, NE

Hi, I'm Tracy! I’m a somatic nutrition therapist, registered licensed dietitian and attuned eating coach in private practice providing in-person, phone and online counseling since 2006. I usher people on a soul level… Because I believe not wanting to be in the body is a way of protecting oneself, so the work is about nourishing the nervous system to feel safe enough to drop in to feel emotion to actually heal. Changing the food becomes an “of course eating is easier now” as flow becomes more a way of operating. I specialize in treatment of eating disorders and eating problems for both adults and children as well as issues related to over-extending the body, including adrenal fatigue, hormone issues, PCOS and gut health. I routinely teach intuitive eating workshops and disordered eating related talks throughout Florida, including University of Florida and Santa Fe College Gainesville, FL, Flager College, St. Augustine, FL, Florida Gulf Coast University, Ft Myers, FL. I am also the guest Nutrition Therapist for Feast, an online intuitive eating program and have appeared on many podcasts featuring topics on Intuitive Eating, Trauma healing, Positive body image and Recovery. I believe what healing food and weight concerns is really about is deciding to live fully human in the diverse and amazing bodies we have. Living and Feeling fully with courage and being dedicated to the fullest expression of who we are is the point.

Sophia Jones, RD

Telehealth for CT, MA, NJ, NY

Hey there! I've been a Registered Dietitian for 7 years and have worked in multiple settings including acute care, inpatient rehabilitative, and an outpatient eating disorders clinic. My passion for helping people heal their relationship with food and their bodies was born after a decade long personal battle with disordered eating and compulsive exercise patterns. Now that I am walking in freedom from the bondage of diet culture and fully embracing body acceptance (all while still chasing performance goals in endurance sports), it is my deepest joy to show others the path into a more satisfying and fulfilling health journey. In my personal life, I am married to a lumberjack entrepreneur and have two wild kiddos that forever keep me on my toes. I am obsessed with ultra trail running/hiking and daydream about living in the mountains someday. Currently tackling the Tour du Mont Blanc through France, Switzerland and Italy (and eating all the delicious food along the way) is at the top of my bucket list.

Amy-HeadShot.png

Amy, RD

FL, AZ, CO, CA, IL, MI, VA, OH, WV, UT, ID.

Amy has been an RD for over 20 years. She has been blessed with a variety of professional experiences such as Corporate Wellness Dietitian, Associate Professor, Research Consultant, Clinical Dietitian and is now humbled to be doing nutrition counseling. She also delights in being on the board of BodyBloved that provides opportunities to heal one’s relationship with body image, food, and fitness (https://www.bodybloved.com/). She believes that evidenced based science, health behavior theory and best practice make a boom for supporting behavior change. Through her own diet struggles, she now proclaims the good news about Health at Every Size and the non-diet approach. Having experienced an eating disorder at a noticeably young age and then dabbling in disordered eating for many years thereafter, freedom rang when she started practicing the truths behind the non-diet approach. Her own struggles have equipped her with compassion, empathy, and realistic recommendations for those she works with. Additionally, her past research focused on emotional eating and nutrition interventions using the non-diet approach. As she sits in the middle of mid-life, she has a heart that cries out to women who are experiencing symptoms related to perimenopause (and men too in this mid-life stage). Going through her own struggles with the side effects of perimenopause, she wants to scream out the message that YOU ARE NOT CRAZY. What you are going through is real. Her mother, having gone through her own issues, is a strong encourager of seeking out help beyond what appears to be the traditional. Amy believes that this support is vital to everyone and that life is much better when one realizes YOU ARE NOT ALONE. She believes in extra self-care in all seasons of life and especially this one. As she reflects on her life with disordered eating, she is grateful that she was healed of that and wants to help those that struggle. It is enough to go through drastic bodily changes in the second half of life nevertheless having to struggle with food, body image, and physical activity. Finally, she is the wife to an amazing, hot hubs and a mama to 3 amazing kids, one of which came home from China through adoption recently. Faith, family, and friends are the top blessings in her life. (Although on many days you can see her on the struggle bus attempting to do mid-life and multitask😉). Amy loves walking, waking to morning devos and coffee, and sitting by the water. Her hope for those with strongholds related to food, body image, and physical activity, is that they will be set free to live the life they were called to live!

Having walked through her own struggles with food and body image, she found a passion for helping others heal their relationships with food and their bodies and strives to proclaim truth in a culture that teaches image-based value. Karis has a special heart for adolescent, college-age, and pregnant women who wrestle with the lies fed to them about food and body. She believes that food is and should be an enjoyable part of life that connects us to others, our own bodies, and our culture. Karis seeks to walk alongside each individual as they discover and explore their own story regarding food and their body. These narratives are powerful lenses through which we see ourselves, and they desperately need compassion. Karis is a lover of mountains, coffee, good books, and good company. Emma is an LGBTQ+ friendly care provider. Please see below to read Emma’s food philosophy: ~Everyone deserves to feel at home in their body, and at peace in their mind. ~Food and movement are as much about quality of life and enjoyment as they are about health. ~Food and movement are only two aspects of health. Rest, social connection, emotional wellness, environmental & financial safety and security, ability to cope with stress, and spiritual fulfillment are just as important to our health and well-being. ~Health and well-being are more complex than the number on the scale. ~Healthy behaviors, lifestyle, and relationship to food and body will always be more important than body shape or size. ~With healing, change, and growth, the process can sometimes be more important than the outcome. Progress is never linear. ~In this field there will always be more to learn and endless opportunities to grow. I am prepared to be a humble, life-long learner to provide my patients with the care they deserve.
